We are extremely grateful to our team of volunteer knitters who create a whole range of beautiful baby clothes, including cardigans, bootees, mittens, and hats, as well as cosy pram blankets. We are able to give these away as part of the Baby Boxes. Find below a simple plan for knitting bootees, normally a tricky item to create.

1. Rectangle for sole: roughly 3 by 1½ inches.

2. Rectangle for upper: roughly 7 by 2½ inches, with row of holes for cord to pass through.
Turn down corners of bigger rectangle (as in photo) and secure.

3. Sew larger rectangle to sole.

4. Sew up front of bootee, allowing for opening.
Thread cord through.
